BCAE 1 — Permanent grassland maintenance[Eliminatory]

Ratio permanent grassland / total UAA must not decrease by more than 5% compared to the regional reference.

GAEC 2 — Protection of wetlands and peatlands[Eliminatory]

Conversion or ploughing of designated wetlands and peatlands is prohibited.

GAEC 3 — Ban on stubble burning[Major]

Burning crop residues is prohibited except with prefectural waiver for sanitary reasons.

BCAE 4 — Buffer strips along waterways[Eliminatory]

Grass buffer strip of at least 5m along BCAE watercourses. No phytosanitary treatment or fertiliser.

BCAE 5 — Soil management (winter cover)[Major]

Soil cover during periods at risk of leaching (catch crops, volunteer plants, chopped residues).

GAEC 6 — Minimum soil cover (sensitive period)[Major]

Maintenance of minimum soil cover during the most sensitive periods.

BCAE 7 — Crop rotation (arable land)[Major]

Mandatory rotation on arable land: at least 1 change of main crop on 35% of the area per year.

BCAE 8 — Non-productive areas (4% UAA)[Eliminatory]

At least 4% of arable UAA dedicated to non-productive areas (fallow, hedges, ponds, trees).

BCAE 9 — Sensitive grasslands (Natura 2000)[Eliminatory]

Conversion of sensitive permanent grassland designated in Natura 2000 zones is prohibited.

ERMG 1 — Nitrates Directive[Eliminatory]

Compliance with the nitrates action programme: 170 kg N/ha ceiling, prohibited spreading periods, storage capacity.

ERMG 2 — Birds / Habitats Directive[Major]

Compliance with species and habitat protection measures in Natura 2000 zones.

Valid Certiphyto certificate[Eliminatory]

Individual Certiphyto certificate is mandatory for purchasing, selling, advising on, and applying plant protection products.

Phytosanitary register up to date[Eliminatory]

Sprayer technical inspection[Major]

Non-Treatment Zones (NTZ) respected[Eliminatory]

Compliance with safety distances from water bodies (5 to 100m depending on product) and dwellings (DSR/DSAR).
